Job Overview:
DESCCO Design & Construction Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced Civil Concrete Foreman to lead concrete crews on commercial and municipal construction sites. In this hands-on leadership role, you\’ll be responsible for planning, forming, pouring, and finishing concrete structures while managing labor, materials, and safety. From flatwork to structural pours, you\’ll bring quality and precision to every job-while staying local to the Fleetwood area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Add reinforcing, change pour to placement: Supervise and lead concrete crews in the layout, reinforcing, forming, placing, and finishing of concrete foundations, slabs, walls, and structures
- Interpret blueprints and construction drawings to ensure accurate execution of work
- Schedule daily activities and assign tasks to crew members
- Ensure proper use and care of company issued concrete placing/finishing equipment.
- Employees are to provide their own small hand tools (hand float, edger, hammer, etc.)
- Maintain safety compliance on all job sites and ensure OSHA regulations are followed
- Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to coordinate logistics
- Monitor quality of workmanship and adherence to project specs and timelines
- Assist hands-on as needed with forming, placing, and finishing concrete
- Keep accurate jobsite documentation and promote a clean, organized work environment
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Concrete Foreman or supervisory role in concrete construction
- Strong technical knowledge of forming systems, finishing techniques, and concrete mixes
- Ability to read blueprints and project specifications with accuracy
- Leadership skills to direct and motivate crews effectively
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver\’s license and clean MVR required
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused with a strong work ethic
- We provide all power tools and larger tools and equipment. Employees must have their own hand tools (ie, Hammer, trowels, toolbelt, tape measure, utility knife etc.)
- Proven experience in large commercial or heavy civil concrete work such as wall and structural forming systems (i.e., Symons, Efco, Doka, Peri, or similar).
- Experience in flatwork concrete such walking/riding finishing machines and screeds.
- Bridge deck concrete experience is a plus.
