We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager, working alongside our Technical Sales Manager, to drive sales growth and customer engagement for our survey solutions business. The ideal candidate combines strong sales skills with technical geospatial knowledge and a passion for delivering innovative high‐tech solutions to clients across the following key sectors:

  • Surveying & geospatial (land + hydrographic)
  • Marine/offshore and hydrographic operations
  • UAV/drone and remote sensing applications
  • Infrastructure, construction, and utilities
  • Environmental monitoring and inspection
  • Natural resources (mining, forestry) and specialist sectors (hazmat, disaster management)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with customers
  • Identify client requirements and recommend suitable equipment, sensors, and software solutions
  • Organise and conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and on‐site evaluations
  • Prepare proposals, quotations and sales forecasts
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and support teams to ensure successful deployments and customer satisfaction
  • Stay informed on survey industry trends, regulations, and competitor offerings
  • Create and achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business growth
  • Manage marketing, including strategy, website, and social media
  • Manage finances

Requirements

  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in drones, robotics, aviation, or related survey technology sectors
  • Strong understanding of UAV/drone systems, payloads, mapping software, and flight operations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, demonstrations, and industry events

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of commercial drone regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience with enterprise or B2B sales
  • Background in engineering, robotics, geophysics, GIS, or related technical fields
