Location: Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire
Salary: Pay starts at approximately £30,000 pa (including shift allowance) and on skills acquisition can increase to approximately £40,000 pa (including shift allowance).
Job type: Permanent, Full Time. The Melton Mowbray site operates 24/7 and our Production Teams work 12-hour shifts - rotating day (07:00-19:00) and night (19:00-07:00) including weekends on a Panama Pattern. Other shift patterns may be available.

For Health & Safety reasons, we are a No Smoking site - so smoking or vaping is not allowed anywhere on the site including in cars in the car park.

Main Duties:
- Measuring out raw materials accurately as per the compound 'recipe'
- Loading these materials into hoppers for mixing (this requires lifting up to 25 kgs)
- Setting and monitoring the machines to ensure that the raw materials are mixed to the correct customer quality specification
- Putting the finished product into bags/boxes ensuring the labelling is correct
- Keeping the Production areas clean and tidy
- Adhering to Health & Safety and Quality standards
- Operating a FLT safely to transport raw materials, packaging, finished goods etc around the site
Required Skills, Knowledge And Experience:
- Previous production/manufacturing experience or similar experience
- Hold a FLT licence (if not - full training will be provided)
- Basic knowledge of Health & Safety and quality standards
- Have the ability to work as a member of a small team
- GCSE Grade 4-9/Grade C-A* or equivalent in Mathematics
- GCSE Grade 4-9/Grade C-A* or equivalent in English Language
- Have an eye for detail and the ability to use your initiative
- Basic problem-solving skills
