Manufacturer looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative to join our busy Distribution Centre in Sittingbourne.
This is a varied, hands‑on role working as part of a friendly warehouse team to ensure goods are picked, packed, stored and dispatched safely, efficiently and accurately.
The role will involve picking and packing customer orders, loading and unloading deliveries, putting stock away in the correct locations and preparing goods ready for dispatch.
You will also use forklifts, pallet jacks and other material‑handling equipment to move and stack goods safely around the warehouse.
Accuracy is important, as you will be responsible for ensuring orders are correctly picked and matched ready for distribution.
You will also assist with stock rotation, making up kits and special assemblies, completing dispatch documentation and using our stock control and computer systems.
As with any busy warehouse, there will also be general duties to help keep the operation running smoothly, including maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
Applicants must hold a valid forklift licence and have recent, hands‑on forklift and warehouse experience.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and comfortable working in a busy environment.
You should have good attention to detail, a strong awareness of health and safety and be happy working both independently and as part of a team.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for regular daytime hours with no rotating shifts. The normal working hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
