Alpha Roofing Systems is a Manchester based contracting business with offices and a service yard in Leigh. Primarily covering the Northwest, we do occasionally travel outside of the area if our client base requires it. Specialising in bituminous flat roofing, we have been trading for over 15 years and in that time have developed a strong reputation for delivering excellence. Our attention to detail and more importantly, our workers have been key to this.
We currently have a vacancy for a full time Site Co-ordinator. The role will report directly to the senior contract manager on a daily basis and will be based on and off site. Erecting fencing to compounds, positioning welfare, clearing sites, collecting and delivering materials, liaising with contractors and undertaking small repairs are all important aspects of the role, so manual ability and a trade/building background is essential.
Qualifications/Experience
- Experience in the construction or roofing industry (preferably flat roofing) is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Bauder/IKO/Garland roofing systems advantageous
- Cladding/Slating experience advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to undertake manual tasks
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- IPAF/PASMA advantageous
- Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to have a check undertaken
- Willingness to undertake health and safety training is essential
- Able to plan the most efficient route for daily events including timescales/locations/deliveries
- Ability to complete site documents and undertake basic safety checks (following training)
- Full driving License with no more than 3 penalty points
- Ideally situated within 30-minute drive of the Leigh office
