We’re Hiring: Pre-Construction Manager (Piling & Foundations)
Chelmsford/Essex ) | Full-time
We’re looking for a Pre-Construction Manager with a strong background in piling and foundation design, ideally paired with estimating experience. This is a pivotal role focused on work-winning — both managing our existing pipeline and helping us expand it.
What you’ll be doing:
• Leading the pre-construction phase of piling and groundworks projects
• Producing preliminary designs and technical input for tenders and budgeting
• Working closely with clients to understand and shape their project needs
• Supporting our estimating team with technical accuracy and buildability advice
• Developing relationships to bring in new business and help us grow
• Helping ensure we deliver on time and with quality, from pre-construction through handover
What we’re looking for:
• Strong foundation (no pun intended) in piling and temporary works design
• Solid understanding of the design–estimate–deliver lifecycle
• Comfortable engaging with clients and consultants — you’re probably someone who builds trust fast
• Estimating experience is a big plus
