Located in South Auckland, this role combines operational leadership with relationship management, coaching, and service development.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Providing direction and oversight to a multidisciplinary support team.
  • Encouraging a culture of learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Monitoring service delivery to ensure programmes are responsive, effective, and aligned with community needs.
  • Working alongside external agencies, community groups, and stakeholders to strengthen service pathways.
  • Supporting staff through complex situations and helping remove barriers for those accessing support.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and outcomes across the service.

Who We're Looking For

This opportunity will suit someone who is equally comfortable leading people, managing operational priorities, and building strong community connections. You'll likely bring:

  • Experience supervising or managing teams within the health, social, community, or not-for-profit sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, motivate, and build credibility with a wide range of people.
  • Demonstrated experience developing staff capability through mentoring, coaching, and performance support.
  • Sound judgement when navigating complex situations and competing priorities.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in a human services, health, community development, or related discipline is advantageous.
  • A current full driver's licence.
  • The legal right to work in New Zealand.
  • A clear criminal history record.
