At Alpha, we're looking for a caring and reliable Housekeeper to join our team, helping to maintain our developments to the highest standards while supporting our residents to live independently.

About the Role

As a Housekeeper, you'll play an important part in ensuring our communal areas are clean, safe and welcoming.

Alongside your housekeeping duties, you'll provide our Alpha Plus service, offering practical support to residents that helps them maintain their independence.

No two days are the same.

You'll work closely with the Development Manager and residents, ensuring every task is completed to a high standard while providing a friendly and professional service.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout communal areas, entrances and external approaches.
  • Delivering Alpha Plus services to residents, completing agreed tasks safely and professionally.
  • Working from daily priorities agreed with the Development Manager.
  • Reporting any health and safety concerns, maintenance issues or resident wellbeing concerns.
  • Completing accurate records of work carried out and resident services provided.
  • Ensuring cleaning equipment is well maintained and reporting any faults or stock shortages.
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times, including the safe use of equipment and cleaning products.
  • Assisting with communal catering activities, breakfast mornings and lunch clubs.
  • Supporting residents with appointments when required.
  • Working flexibly across multiple developments when needed.
  • Promoting Alpha's services by identifying opportunities for additional resident support.
  • Occasionally providing cover for the Development Manager during periods of absence.

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable, although not essential.

Experience working with older people or within housing, hospitality, healthcare or care settings would be an advantage.
