About the Role As a Housing Development Manager, you will be responsible for delivering an excellent, resident-focused housing management service.
Working closely with residents, families, partner agencies and colleagues, you'll ensure our developments remain safe, well-managed and vibrant places to live.
Managing day-to-day housing management across sheltered housing developments.
Supporting residents with tenancy matters, rent accounts, Housing Benefit and Universal Credit claims.
Welcoming new residents, carrying out tenancy sign-ups and helping them settle into their new home.
Promoting developments, conducting viewings and working with referral agencies to maximise occupancy.
Providing advice on housing options, welfare services and support available to residents.
Building positive relationships with residents, relatives, advocates and external agencies.
Carrying out health and safety inspections, fire alarm testing, door entry system checks and property inspections.
Reporting and monitoring repairs and supervising contractors on site.
Maintaining accurate records using the Civica CX Housing Management System.
Line managing Housekeepers within the development.
Providing cover for colleagues across other developments when required.
What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding services and who genuinely enjoys working with older people.
Essential Experience working within social housing.
Good ICT skills with the ability to use housing management systems.
Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
Desirable Experience within sheltered housing or independent living services.
Housing qualification.
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
