An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a growing civil engineering contractor delivering a major renewables scheme in the North Leeds area. This role would suit a technically strong civil engineering professional who is confident managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality on complex infrastructure projects.
The Role
- Day-to-day management of site activities on a live renewables project
- Ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements
- Managing and reviewing RAMS and ensuring compliance on site
- Overseeing engineering activities and maintaining technical standards
- Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and direct labour
- Monitoring quality, progress, and productivity across the project
- Supporting project reporting, planning, and client liaison
- Maintaining strong health, safety, and environmental performance throughout delivery
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a Site Manager, or similar role within civil engineering
- Strong technical and engineering background
- Degree qualified – ideally BSc Civil Engineering or similar
- Experience delivering infrastructure, utilities, renewables, highways, or heavy civil engineering projects
- Strong understanding of site safety management and RAMS
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate site activities effectively
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred
- SMSTS
- CSCS
- First Aid qualification advantageous
