EHS Manager – Permanent Role – West London

Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 + Package

Do you already operate at senior level within a Tier 1 contractor but feel boxed in by politics, process, and endless layers of management? Are you the calm voice during pressure moments? The person directors trust when standards slip, incidents happen, or programme pressure starts colliding with safety?

Alpha Recruitment is supporting a major MEP contractor in West London, who is looking for an experienced EHS Manager to join on a permanent basis and lead from the front within a fast-paced, technically demanding environment. This isn’t a clipboard role.

This role is for someone who:

  • Has managed EHS teams across large-scale construction projects
  • Understands how to balance operational delivery with uncompromising safety standards
  • Can communicate confidently with directors, subcontractors, and clients alike
  • Has experience within mission critical, M&E, infrastructure, pharma, rail, or industrial sectors
  • Leads through presence, professionalism, and decision-making

You’ll take ownership of the project’s safety function, working closely with leadership teams to maintain standards, protect delivery, and drive a strong site culture.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Significant experience on major construction projects
  • Strong leadership and incident management experience
  • GradIOSH / CMIOSH preferred
  • Commercially aware with excellent stakeholder management skills

If you’re currently with a Tier 1 contractor and quietly considering your next move - or simply want to explore a stronger long-term opportunity with a growing business, I’d welcome a confidential conversation.
