Join a leading manufacturing business as an ambitious and proactive Buyer. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement or supply chain professional to play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials that keep manufacturing operations running efficiently.
Working closely with suppliers and internal departments including Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, Quality and Finance, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a portfolio of suppliers and driving supplier performance
- Negotiating pricing and reviewing annual supplier agreements
- Building strong supplier relationships to support production requirements
- Monitoring inventory levels to ensure optimum stock availability
- Managing purchase orders and rescheduling requirements through the MRP system
- Resolving supplier delivery issues and implementing corrective actions
- Monitoring and reporting on key supplier KPIs including OTIF and RFT
