Alpha Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee a plant room refurbishment project in Bournemouth.

This is a hands-on management role overseeing the refurbishment and replacement of mechanical plant within a live environment.

The successful candidate will coordinate subcontractors, ensure works are delivered safely, and maintain programme whilst working closely with the client and project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of a mechanical plant room refurbishment.
  • Coordinate mechanical subcontractors and specialist trades.
  • Oversee the replacement and installation of mechanical plant and associated services.
  • Ensure all works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
  • Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
  • Review and implement RAMS and permits to work.
  • Monitor progress against programme and provide regular updates.
  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Liaise with the client, consultants and project management team.
  • Ensure site documentation is maintained throughout the project.

Requirements

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Enhanced DBS (Essential)
  • BPSS Clearance (Essential - Can obtain within 1 -3 days)
  • Previous experience managing mechanical refurbishment or plant room projects.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, pipework, pumps, boilers and mechanical building services.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
