Role Responsibilities:

Alpha FMC is looking for a Solutions Consultant to join our growing team. We are seeking people with strong Front Office Technology skills, along with a personal desire to build a unique, world-class service offering for our clients.

As a Solutions Consultant, you will be assisting with investment technology choices and implementation solutioning to deliver technology change across the front office technology construct. You will provide Service Matter Expertise for front office technology solutions and associated operating models, working with key client stakeholders to maximize value delivery on time and on budget.

  • Contribute to client’s front-office implementation process including current state analysis, requirements gathering, workflow design, system configuration & integration, test management & execution, and training/procedure documentation.
  • Support project leadership by delivering workflow solutions, contributing to status updates, and risk identification & escalation.
  • Provide effective and proactive communication with the Alpha project team and client business stakeholders to ensure alignment across the program.
  • Ensure documentation and development are aligned with defined specifications and industry best practices.
  • Define and promote best practice technical methodologies for implementation, such as SDLC, migration strategy, and quality assurance testing standards.
  • Contribute to the development of internal accelerators and propositions within an OMS / front & middle office focused framework.
  • Provide support on business & technical workflow handover to client teams upon completion of engagement.

Role Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with implementations, product management, or production support role with focus on front office technology such as Blackrock Aladdin, Charles River IMS, Bloomberg AIM, Simcorp, Finbourne, or Ridgeline.
  • Deep understanding of the Asset and/or Wealth Management value chain, spanning multiple client segments, investment products, and operating models.
  • Must be comfortable leading executive-level workshops, steering committees, and program forums.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management, including experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, & AWS.
  • Specialist in at least one of the following Front and Middle Office focus areas: Risk & Analytics, Compliance & Regulation, Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations, Client Reporting, Transaction/Position/Cash Reconciliation, Data Management & Governance.
  • Strong understanding of investment products and asset classes, including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Alternatives, with the ability to translate investment and business needs into operating and technology design requirements.
  • Proficiency with SQL is required, any additional coding skills also desirable.
  • Experience with integration of cloud-based architecture (Snowflake, Azure, AWS) is desirable.
  • Proficiency in data modelling, data governance, and data quality management across investment data domains (i.e., transaction, position, security, and ABOR/IBOR).
  • Openness to travel depending on client preference.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills.
  • Deep understanding of OMS/EMS/PMS vendor landscape (knowledge of EDM/MDM landscape a plus).
  • Entrepreneurial approach and commercial awareness.
  • Proven experience in building and delivering solutions for large-scale transformations.
  • Specialist industry qualifications such as CFA, CAIA, FINRA Series 7 or equivalent is desirable.
  • Appreciation of regional business culture.

There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to - skill sets, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the range is $100,000 and $150,000 subject to change based on salary benchmarking. In addition to this salary, employees would be eligible for both variable and non-variable benefits.
