Analyst role overview: We are looking for a motivated and detail‐oriented Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong willingness to develop and learn, proactively seeking a deep understanding of target audiences, channels, and industry trends. This is a client‐facing role requiring deep project management skills and the ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders. As an Analyst, you will start supporting our clients on projects across a range of practice areas. You immediately become a key member of the Alpha team and will work in a small to medium‐sized team. As your performance and experience develop, you will be given the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities in a truly meritocratic environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Project coordination & management: Support the coordination and organization of project work under the direction of project leads. Assist in the creation of slide decks and deliverables using master templates. Take and collate meeting notes, ensuring smooth project progression. Interpret project timelines, plans, and scope to determine necessary tasks and deadlines. Track and manage project deliverables, maintaining key reports such as project plans, status updates, and hours logs. Manage personal workload effectively, taking initiative to drive tasks forward while communicating progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Market & industry research: Conduct independent research to gain a deeper understanding of investment distribution landscapes, including asset managers, wealth managers, and platforms. Develop expertise in asset classes, funds, and investor types. Stay updated on the full marketing mix, toolkit, and specialisms. Understand and articulate recent marketing and industry trends and their impact on clients' businesses. Communicate professionally with clients via meetings (in‐person and online), emails, and other channels, ensuring clarity and accuracy. Present sections of deliverables and project work in various meetings, demonstrating thorough preparation. Adapt communication styles to align with stakeholder preferences and needs.
- Collaboration & teamwork: Exhibit a team‐oriented mindset, a can‐do attitude, and the ambition to succeed collectively. Respect differences in communication and work styles, adapting as needed to achieve goals. Escalate issues appropriately to ensure timely involvement from senior team members.
- Continuous learning & development: Actively seek feedback, reflect on it, and implement improvements. Allocate dedicated research time to deepen knowledge of industry channels, asset classes, and marketing strategies. Identify learning and development opportunities and present them with a business case to management.
- Operational & business support: Ensure accurate and timely billing by submitting personal timesheets as required. Support internal business functions, including project management and company initiatives. Participate in company events and contribute to an inclusive and positive work environment. Provide timely, clear, and constructive feedback to peers and senior colleagues.
- Administrative & organizational support: Assist in onboarding documentation, presentation decks, calendaring, and other administrative tasks. Manage project timelines to ensure deliverables meet deadlines. Come prepared for mentorship and grand‐mentor meetings, actively engaging in growth conversations. Identify business opportunities within projects or based on industry insights. Escalate business development opportunities with appropriate background information.
