Purpose and Accountabilities

Alpha Development is a specialist learning provider to the global financial services industry. As part of our growth and innovation agenda, we are expanding our Digital Success Team to deliver engaging, practical, and scalable learning solutions across our global client base. The Instructional Designer will play a critical role in designing and developing compelling digital learning experiences, supporting the delivery of immersive content that enables business impact. This role aligns with Alpha's vision to combine human expertise with digital and GenAI technologies. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and product owners to create interactive, effective digital learning assets that reflect Alpha's brand and meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-impact eLearning modules and content using tools like SanaLabs, Synthesia, Canva, InVideo, and others.
  • Create digital storyboards, interactive scripts, and assessment materials aligned with client learning outcomes.
  • Translate complex financial and leadership content into simple, visually engaging digital experiences.
  • Collaborate with Alpha's Product and Faculty teams to ensure content accuracy, currency, and instructional quality.
  • Incorporate gamification, adaptive learning, and scenario-based learning to enhance engagement.
  • Conduct usability testing and iterate based on learner feedback and analytics.
  • Ensure instructional quality, accessibility standards, and consistency with Alpha's tone of voice across all deliverables.
  • Support LMS administration, programme creation, troubleshooting, and marketing activities.
  • Stay updated with trends in learning technology, GenAI, and digital design to improve offerings.

Key Technical Skills, Experience, and Knowledge

  • At least 4 years of experience in instructional design for digital learning, preferably within financial services or corporate training.
  • Strong visual design skills for creating engaging, brand-aligned layouts and interfaces.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Evolve, and video editing software like Vyond, Camtasia, Synthesia.
  • Knowledge of LMS platforms and standards like SCORM/xAPI.
  • Understanding of instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, action mapping).
  • Experience working with SMEs, copywriters, and graphic designers.
  • Familiarity with agile development and remote collaboration tools like Monday.com.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of GenAI tools for education, HTML5/CSS basics.
