As a Consultant/Senior Consultant/Manager you will have responsibility for: Actively contributing to a wide range of client projects of a technical actuarial nature; Taking responsibility for the delivery of packages of work to adequate time and quality considerations; Managing small number of junior team members (c.1-5); Identifying and escalating risks and issues; Contributing to business development and practice management activity, in conjunction with more senior team members; and Attending client meetings. Our practice has both breadth and technical depth which is increasingly important in an ever-changing regulatory landscape. You can expect to be involved in a wide variety of assignments. Essential: Experience of the non-life insurance industry. Commercial pricing experience (SME or speciality). Knowledge of experience and exposure based pricing methods. Experience of working with underwriters to help embed pricing related change. Training underwriters on pricing tools and related metrics. Work with other actuaries to improve models including fine-tuning assumptions and methodologies. Desirable: Proficiency in a coding language. Python strongly preferred, R preferred. Experience in one or more of London Market, Lloyds or reinsurance pricing. Experience of exposure management. Understanding of market pricing best practice and regulation, for example Lloyds pricing & underwriting principles.
