We are seeking a driven Contracts Manager to lead major civil engineering and building projects across a number of industry sectors, from tender to handover, ensuring they are delivered safely, to programme, budget, and to our high-quality standards. The position is based at our head office near Derby, with a requirement to travel around the UK to visit sites, clients, and our supply chain.

In this role, you will:
- Take full ownership of multiple construction contracts
- Coordinate planning, procurement, cost control & programme efficiencies
- Lead, manage and assist the site teams, including subcontractors, in delivering the projects
- Champion Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental standards
- Be the first point of contact for the project clients, supply chain and other stakeholders and build strong relationships
- Inspire site and business-support teams through strong leadership and effective communication
As the successful candidate you will:
- Be an experienced leader in the civil engineering and building sector
- Be strong on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management
- Possess excellent organisation skills
- Be confident and competent in the management and coordination of people, plant, materials & subcontractors
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be commercially astute
- Be a civil engineer educated to degree level / similar or gained necessary time served experience
- Have a working knowledge of standard forms of contract e.g. NEC
- Possess good IT skills, particularly in the use of MS Word, MS Excel & MS Project or Primavera P6.

- Basic salary

- Standard working hours are 8:45 to 5:15 with 1 hour lunch. However, flexibility for earlier start/finish early as long as it is agreed upfront.
