Manage and develop a portfolio of affluent and corporate clients, delivering a high-quality Private Banking service while taking ownership of client relationships, regulatory compliance, and business growth opportunities.

Through continuous development of market and product expertise, the role holder is accountable for delivering positive client outcomes, managing risk effectively, and supporting the ongoing success and growth of the Private Banking business.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Consumer Duty Regulations, ensuring all activities are conducted in line with regulatory requirements and the Bank’s policies, procedures, and standards.
- Take ownership of delivering a high-quality Private Banking service to clients, independently managing relationships and identifying opportunities to meet clients’ financial needs while contributing to the profitability and growth of the portfolio.
- Deliver against individual income objectives while supporting the achievement of wider team targets, proactively identifying opportunities to maximise commission, margin, and fee income.
- Independently manage and develop a portfolio of affluent and corporate clients, building trusted relationships and providing proactive support and guidance.
- Grow the client portfolio through the successful onboarding of new clients generated from referrals and internal business channels.
- Provide effective support and cover across the Private Client Team, ensuring continuity of service during colleague absences.
- Authorise client outward payments up to £100,000, exercising sound judgement and maintaining strong control standards.
- Maintain and continually develop market, industry, and product knowledge, using expertise to identify emerging client needs, market trends, and opportunities for business growth.
- Take accountability for ensuring regulatory, compliance, and prudential requirements are met across the client portfolio, including the timely completion of Periodic and Event Driven Reviews, risk assessments, and KYC maintenance.
- Proactively identify, manage, and report risk and control issues within your area of responsibility, escalating concerns and recommending solutions where appropriate.
- Build professional expertise through participation in investment seminars, fund presentations, training programmes, client events, and client meetings, both independently and collaboratively.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Alpha Bank Private Banking teams in Greece, contributing to joint client management, business development opportunities, and referral generation.
- Contribute to Private Banking projects and initiatives, taking responsibility for assigned workstreams and supporting the ongoing development of the function.
- Identify and recommend improvements to products, services, processes, and client propositions, using market insight and client feedback to enhance business performance and client outcomes.
- Take ownership of all cash collateral lending propositions and guarantees within the portfolio, ensuring activities are managed in accordance with Lending Policy requirements and that robust post-drawdown monitoring controls are maintained.
- Act as a Class B Authorised Signatory on behalf of Alpha Bank London Ltd, exercising appropriate judgement, accountability, and adherence to delegated authority limits.

- Comply with the Bank’s Conduct rules, as prescribed by the PRA and FCA including the most recent sixth conduct rule; “you must act to deliver good outcomes for retail customers.”
- Maintain ‘Fit & Proper’ status required to fulfil role as a Senior Manager/Certification employee (if relevant.)
- Comply with all relevant regulations as prescribed by the PRA and FCA including your role under the Bank’s undertaking to Operational Resilience.
- Comply with the Bank’s policies and procedures as laid out in the Employee Handbook, the intranet, and other sources.
- Manage all personal data and sensitive personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation and any associated Bank policies and procedures.

Experience and Knowledge
- Fluent Greek speaker
- Excellent working knowledge of a full range of private banking products including deposits, treasury instruments, structured investments, equities, bonds, mutual funds, foreign exchange, offshore trust and company services.
- University degree or relevant experience in an equivalent regulated environment in the financial sector with strong banking & sales background.
- Business and Market awareness.
- Investment Analysis and Risk.
- Robust understanding of Banking Procedures and Asset Management.
