Consultant – Finance & Operations (EMEA Credit Practice)

Alpha Alternatives is seeking a talented and motivated Consultant to join our growing Finance & Operations (“FAO”) team, based in London. You will be focused on the implementation of leading private credit technology solutions such as Allvue Investment Accounting and Broadridge Sentry, providing operational advice relating to core loan administration and Investment Accounting requirements. You will apply your skills across a variety of clients including alternative; asset managers, asset owners and service providers. You will be working within flexible engagement teams, have direct exposure to leadership, and partner closely with other Alpha Alternatives business lines on strategy and roadmap development, assessments, and execution.
The team’s primary objective is to design, develop and implement operational and technology improvement strategies to reduce operational costs, optimise business processes, reduce management risk and enhance portfolio value for our clients. Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to analyse their current and future business needs, recommend best practice solutions, and define project deliverables
- Translate accounting requirements into system configurations
- Configure debt accounting systems (i.e. Allvue, Broadridge Sentry) to track complex instruments
- Design customised workflows aligned with investment strategies and processes
- Migrate data from legacy systems with validation controls
- Track project progress, monitor milestones and critical dates to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Produce detailed status reports, track actions, and manage progress meetings
- Create and deliver training materials and documentation
- Provide ongoing system optimisation and support
Qualifications and Skills:
- Private Credit Systems Implementation Experience (Highly Desired): Minimum 2-3 years of experience implementing private credit Investment Accounting software is highly valued. Ideal candidates would have exposure to requirements gathering, system configuration, data migration, user acceptance testing, and report development.
- Private Credit Operations Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience in the day-to-day operational processes of private credit investments. Candidates should be familiar with the full loan lifecycle, including origination, funding, interest accruals, paydowns, rollovers, rate resets, and amendments. Ability to interpret and process agent notices, understand complex capital structures, and accurately book transactions such as drawdowns, repayments, PIK interest, and fee amortisation is essential. Experience reconciling positions and cash flows across administrators, custodians, and internal systems is also highly valued.
- System Knowledge: Proficiency with industry-standard platforms utilised in private credit investment operations and accounting. Strong expertise with Allvue investment accounting is highly desired. Experience with Broadridge Sentry, WSO, or comparable solutions is advantageous.

- Proven skills in documentation, process mapping (Visio), and other Microsoft Office tools
