We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to support our strategic growth and new challenges! This role is responsible for:
- Ensuring the smooth operation of the information system and the quality of the network, taking into account user expectations and needs, while ensuring maximum system security.
- Implementing the operational and security strategy of the Group and the Company.
- Liaising between Group IT and UK business stakeholders for continuous improvement and technological advancement of the wider business.
Key responsibilities:
- To achieve the objectives set by the Group IT department, including participation in the definition of strategy and implementation of development projects.
- To perform needs analysis and technology watch, to anticipate necessary changes and propose improvements.
- To implement and administrate operating systems and networks with the IT department.
- To maintain and develop a system and network infrastructure with the IT department and to provide technical support to new system projects.
Qualifications/Skills required to succeed in the position:
- Proficiency in architecture and system functionalities.
- Telecoms technologies, Internet.
- Office environments.
- Operating systems (e.g. Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016, Linux).
- Active Directory and LDAP directories.
- IT and telecommunications security standards and procedures.
- Network and system administration.
Knowledge of:
- VMWare or Hyper-V virtualization.
- Communication protocols.
- Installing, configuring and troubleshooting IT equipment.
Highly valued:
- 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar position.
Place of work:
- Position based in Poole or Coventry with frequent travel to both Company offices.
- Hybrid working after probation period.
Hours of Work:
- 40 hours per week (8.30am to 5.00pm from Monday to Friday - 30 min lunch break).
