An extremely busy and well-established Sign Company based in Leicester, Alpen Signs are now recruiting for an experienced Router & Workshop Operative (Sign Maker) to join our busy production team. If you think you have what it takes, we would like to hear from you – what are you waiting for?
Job Summary
- Work alongside router operator helping set up the machine.
- Putting sheets of material on the router when requested.
- Cutting up waste materials and throwing them in the bin.
- Keeping department clean & organised.
- Using composer software to help set up (training can be given).
- Taking part in stock takes (may be undertaken out of normal hours).
- Keeping a check on material stock.
- Unloading lorries and putting away materials.
- Friendly, positive and helpful approach.
- Health and safety awareness at all times.
- In-house training as required.
- When not busy, work may be allocated within the workshop to assist in any other tasks that are within the capabilities of the role.
Person Specification & Requirements
- Work on own initiative and as a part of a team.
- Good personality.
- Communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Working to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high standards.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- Working with hand tools.
- Working with materials such as paint/glue.
- Physically fit, some lifting is required.
- Experience preferred, but training will be given to a suitable applicant.
Wage: Competitive - Based On Experience.
