Job Description
Join ALPADIA's team to make summer 2025 an unbelievable experience! We are looking for highly motivated people, who have the ability to engage and inspire young students, and who are looking for an enriching and educational experience themselves.
- Prioritize the safety of students above all else, implementing our Safeguarding and Health and Safety policies working closely with the Camp Manager.
- Support with the caring of sick students and arranging appropriate medical responses.
- Manage and assist with the student presence-check registers of attendance.
- Support the camp management team liaising with internal (Customer Services team and Sales) and external stakeholders concerning matters of student welfare; responding to and resolving any questions, comments or concerns.
- Help manage students effectively and respectfully, following all Alpadia policies and rules, to ensure they enjoy and contribute fully to all aspects of Alpadia's programme in a spirit of respect towards other students and staff.
- Ensure any safeguarding concerns that come to your attention are dealt with sensitively and escalated appropriately.
- Support in the management of the Welfare Team (Welfare Officers & Night Supervisors), being their main point of initial contact for any issues that occur in your accommodation unit.
- Manage the allocation of students in accommodation, responding to requests and complaints from internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage students' behaviour at all times, with a judicious awareness of the need to sanction or encourage as appropriate.
- Ensure rules in the residence are followed at all times and the accommodation is kept tidy.
- Ensure the students go to bed and wake up at the appropriate times, directing and managing the wider team as appropriate.
- Assist in the check-in/check-out procedure, supporting students in their orientation of the site and their room.
- Support your colleagues in their daily tasks to the benefit of the wider camp operation.
- Work with guest Group Leaders to ensure they understand schedules, rules and other useful information so they can better support their students.
- Ensure damages are kept to a minimum and a culture of respect is created with the students towards the property we are occupying.
Qualifications
Your profile:
- Essential: Experience working in a summer school or similar environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent team working skills.

- The ability to lead, manage and motivate a team.
- Being flexible and adaptable to change.
- High level of integrity.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to students and admissions team.
- Relate well to children and gain their trust and respect.
- Capable or willing to train in the use of platforms for recording student information and safeguarding concerns.
- Understanding of the need to support students' wellbeing.
- Understanding of the need to support and work with the admissions team.
- Desirable: A high degree of IT competency - Outlook & MS Office (specifically Excel).
- Relevant professional qualification or other accreditation.
- Understanding of principals of child development and learning processes.
- Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning/development opportunities.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Experience in the same or similar role.
- Additional language proficiency.
- Safeguarding and Welfare experience with under 18s.
- Understanding of safeguarding practices and legislation.
