An excellent opportunity for an experienced Alarms System Implementation Specialist to support the client in delivering compliant and effective alarm management systems across high-hazard laboratory buildings and facilities.
The successful candidate will bring specialist knowledge of EEMUA 191 and industrial alarm/control systems to adapt site-wide alarm philosophy and policy into detailed, facility-specific working procedures. This role requires a proactive and technically capable professional who can engage stakeholders, improve capability, and drive sustainable compliance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Review and adapt existing site-wide alarms philosophy and policies for high-hazard environments.
- Produce clear, detailed, and practical alarm management documentation for individual facilities.
- Ensure operators understand and implement compliant alarms procedures.
- Design and deliver a full implementation plan covering immediate and long-term organisational needs.
- Upskill internal teams and existing personnel to improve alarm systems competence across the laboratory.
- Support creation of a sustainable, site-wide alarm management model aligned to legal and safety obligations.
- Interpret, configure, optimise, and maintain industrial alarm/control platforms.
- Work closely with management, technical teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Ensure alarm system integrity and compliance across complex laboratory settings.
- Strong background in alarm systems and industrial controls.
- Proven understanding and practical experience of EEMUA 191.
- Experience implementing policies, procedures, or operational processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Hands-on experience with systems such as: Trend, Vista, Schneider Systems, EcoStruxure, Saulter Systems.
- Knowledge of DSEAR regulations.
- Awareness of HS&EP requirements.
- Experience in hazardous or regulated environments.
- No hybrid working – full onsite presence required.
