The Repairs Officer – Gas will support the operational management of housing repairs and maintenance services, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, cost-effective, and customer-focused service. Key Responsibilities

The role will involve managing and coordinating repairs and maintenance activities, providing technical supervision to tradespeople and contractors, and ensuring all gas-related works comply with relevant legislation, including the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998. The post holder will undertake property surveys, inspections, and assessments, prepare technical specifications and reports, and maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit requirements.

The role will require effective contractor management, including monitoring performance, attending site meetings, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and within agreed service standards. The Repairs Officer – Gas will support budget management, resource planning, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement of housing maintenance services.
