We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to fabricate and assemble components from sheet metal. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, as well as a solid foundation in basic mathematics to ensure precision in measurements and cuts.

Location: Droitwich Spa (Own transport is essential due to the location)

Pay: £14.00ph

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 0800-1600

Responsibilities:

  • Operate MIG welding equipment to join metal parts according to specifications.
  • Fabricate components from sheet metal, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Assemble various structures and components, following detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal pieces.
  • Perform stick welding as required for specific projects.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining safety protocols.
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in MIG welding; certification is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to welding tasks.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Experience with stick welding is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
