OVERVIEW
The Operations Lead is a key member of the store leadership team, responsible for driving profitability and efficiency. The Operations Lead will work closely with the Operations & Visual Manager to initiate, delegate work, and provide feedback to the team to support optimal store operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operations Leader
- Lead and execute inventory management processes to maximize accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, partnering with the General Manager to address process or system gaps.
- Manage operational functions including shipment, receiving, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
- Maintain visual standards on the sales floor.
- Support a safe and efficient work environment through stockroom standards and processes.
- Business Leader
- Partner with the Operations & Visual Manager on reporting, budgeting, expenses, inventory control, vendor relations, technology, and facilities management.
- Use metrics to support business strategies and decision-making.
- Assess and respond to business needs dynamically on the retail floor.
- Lead by example, inspiring staff in daily operations and guest experience.
- Oversee Operations Associates, including recruitment and development.
- Provide ongoing feedback to promote individual growth and team improvement.
- Business Partner
- Collaborate with Visual Lead on cross-training and with Sales & Service Lead to ensure excellent execution of sales and service standards.
- Implement company directives and projects in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience in a client-centric, sales environment.
- Receptive to feedback and eager to provide it.
- Self-motivated with results-driven attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Aligned with Alo’s values.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
Hourly Rate - £16-£18 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule This full-time role requires 32-40 hours per week, including opening, closing, and weekend shifts. Availability from Black Friday through the holiday season and into the first week of January is required.
