Overview

The Sales & Service Manager is a critical member of the store leadership team accountable for bringing Alo’s business and guest experience strategy to life in the store. This individual is passionate about business targets, sales, guest experience, and elevating talent to meet Alo’s Guiding Principles. The role’s north star is ensuring that guest experience in the store is exceptional.

Responsibilities

  • Sales & Service Leader: Investigate and root cause sales opportunities, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps
  • Oversee the Sales & Service team to deliver an exceptional guest experience on the floor through assessing guest connection and product education, and coaching team members to address gaps
  • Continue to build relationships with our customers daily
  • Ensure effective sales floor coverage through workforce planning and leading selling initiatives
  • Partner with the General Manager to build and implement the Sales & Service strategy for the store

Business Leader

  • Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls, in partnership with the General Manager
  • Review and monitor the budget, reporting and business data (e.g., expenses, sell-thru) and support planning processes such as quarterly business reviews and sales planning
  • Plan for future needs to protect optimal performance

People Leader

  • Ensure the Sales, Service, and Community team embodies Alo’s mission and Guiding Principles when communicating with visitors
  • Lead with accountability, ongoing coaching, talent development, and clear communication across Operations and Visual teams
  • Establish internal and external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment
  • Write effective schedules that align with business strategy in partnership with the General Manager

Business Partner

  • Oversee execution of deliverables on the Alo Sales and Service Model to protect operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager and cross-functionally with partners to support organizational goals
  • Navigate the organization with a balance of business needs and brand culture

Qualifications

  • Prior leadership experience in retail or a related industry
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Agile with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment
  • Motivated by driving business in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a business owner approach
  • Independent work ethic, time management, and personal accountability
