Almond Care Children's Services are looking for Support Workers to join our team! Shifts are 24 hours, for example start at 7am on the Monday and work until 8am Tuesday, this includes a sleep in from 11pm to 7am. These shift times may vary, between Monday to Sunday. Paying £12.50 per hour & £73.89 sleep in rate. We are specifically recruiting for Children's EBD / LD Support Workers in Sileby.

Following a thorough induction and training, your duties will include:

  • Supporting, mentoring and educating our children in day to day activities to develop their emotional and social needs
  • Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living
  • Positive engagement to encourage our children and young adults in their development
  • Reporting and recording key aspects of care and developing your professional skills as part of ongoing development
  • Managing complex and challenging behaviour
  • Some personal care, social involvement and domestic chores will be required
  • Shopping
  • Light housework duties
  • Assisting in washing and dressing
  • Attending social events
