Co–General Manager – The Puss in Boots, SK2 6DG
Senior leadership role | £17 per hour, plus tips and bonus
We’re Almond Family Pubs – a proud, independent, family-run pub group known for doing things properly. One of our flagship sites, The Puss in the Boots, is entering an exciting new phase, and we’re now looking to recruit an experienced and driven Co–General Manager to help lead the business forward.
The Puss in Boots is currently led by Nick, a hugely respected General Manager who has been with Almond Family Pubs for over 14 years and is a real asset to our company. Due to internal progression within the group and a planned refurbishment on the horizon, we believe now is the right time to strengthen the leadership structure by introducing a Co-GM role.
This is a genuine partnership position – working closely with an established GM to support the team, drive standards, and help shape the next chapter of a much-loved pub.
The Role
As Co–General Manager, you’ll play a key part in:
- Jointly leading and developing a large and well-established team
- Driving high standards of service, food quality, and guest experience
- Supporting commercial performance, planning, and operational excellence
- Playing an active role in preparing the business for an upcoming refurbishment
- Helping embed culture, consistency, and long-term stability within the team
- Being highly visible, hands-on, and present on the floor
This role is ideal for an experienced General Manager, Deputy GM, or Senior Operations Manager who enjoys collaboration, values people-first leadership, and wants to be part of a long-term success story rather than a short-term fix.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading large, food-led hospitality sites
- A collaborative leadership style – confident, calm, and people-focused
- Strong commercial awareness with a passion for quality and standards
- Someone who thrives in partnership and enjoys building teams together
- A leader who shares our values and takes pride in great pubs done properly
What We Offer
- Excellent tips and performance-related incentives
- 50% off food for you and 3 guests across all Almond Family Pubs
- Free food and drinks while on shift
- A supportive, family-run business that values longevity and loyalty
- Real influence in shaping the future of a flagship pub
- Long-term career opportunities within a growing independent group
