We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Trainer to join a specialist provider of support services for adults and children with complex care needs. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with significant complex care experience and a strong background in clinical training and staff development.

The role will involve travelling between Nuneaton and Sileby, supporting the delivery of high-quality clinical training and ensuring care teams have the skills, knowledge and confidence required to provide safe and effective care.

You would be joining a specialist complex care provider supporting adults and children with a range of complex healthcare needs, helping them to live as independently as possible in their own homes and communities. As Clinical Nurse Trainer, you will play an important role in developing and maintaining the clinical competencies of care teams. You will work closely with the nursing and operational teams to ensure staff receive high-quality training, ongoing support and regular competency assessments.

The role will involve delivering training across a range of complex clinical areas, including tracheostomy care, ventilation, PEG and NG feeding, stoma care, medication administration, safeguarding and manual handling.

  • Salary of £50,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience;

What experience will you need?

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who has significant experience working within complex care and can demonstrate previous experience delivering clinical training. You will need:

  • Significant experience within complex care;
  • Previous experience delivering clinical training to healthcare or care staff;
  • A recognised Train the Trainer certificate/qualification;
  • Experience and confidence delivering training in areas including:
    • Safeguarding;
    • Manual handling;
    • Ventilation;
    • Tracheostomy care;
    • Stoma care;
    • PEG care and feeding;
    • NG feeding;
    • Medication administration and competency;
  • Experience supporting both children and adults with complex care needs would be highly desirable;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • The ability to assess clinical competencies and provide constructive feedback;
  • A professional, supportive and approachable manner;
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own training schedule;
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as the role requires travel between Nuneaton and Sileby.
