Our Project Managers (Electrical) lead the full lifecycle delivery of electrical and MEICA projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to specification. The role combines strong technical capability with leadership, commercial awareness and excellent communication, supporting the wider business to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery
- Lead electrical and MEICA project delivery from design through commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, technical and statutory requirements.
- Drive delivery excellence across programme timelines, cost control and quality.
- Coordinate in-house teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Health, Safety & Quality
- Uphold A&L MEICA’s safety-first culture in all decisions and activities.
- Produce and review RAMS, Safe Systems of Work and electrical compliance documentation.
- Ensure delivery meets company quality processes and accredited management systems.
- Technical Leadership
- Oversee electrical design review, installation standards and commissioning planning.
- Ensure all electrical install work complies with BS7671, EAWR and water industry standards.
- Lead technical discussions with clients and internal engineering teams.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with clients, framework managers and delivery partners.
- Lead progress meetings, reporting and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Represent A&L MEICA professionally at all stages of delivery.
- Commercial & Procurement
- Contribute to tender development, bid reviews and cost build-ups.
- Manage commercial risk, change control and cost forecasting.
- Oversee procurement of electrical equipment, plant and specialist subcontractors.
- Leadership & People
- Lead site resource planning, including overseeing supervisors, engineers and electricians.
- Support talent development, behavioural standards and team performance.
- Model leadership behaviours consistent with A&L MEICA values.
What we are looking for:
Experience & Skills
- 10+ years’ experience in Electrical Project Management, ideally within MEICA or utilities.
- Strong knowledge of LV systems, MCCs, ICA, control panels, pumping systems and process equipment.
- Proven experience managing complex electrical installation projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience with UK Water Authorities (e.g., Scottish Water, Irish Water, etc.)
- CompEx certification.
- LV authorised person experience.
- Knowledge of commissioning processes for water and wastewater assets.
Qualifications
- Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- CSCS/ECS.
- DOMS/National Water Hygiene (or willingness to obtain).
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent (training provided).
