The Opportunities

We are currently recruiting for talented Analytical Chemists to join our Quality Control team, within the Almac Sciences Business Unit. The vacancies are located at our headquarters in Craigavon, Northern Ireland. The post holders will be responsible for performing, monitoring, and accepting accountabilities for all assigned analytical duties relating to the QC operations within Almac Sciences GMP Manufacturing facilities. Analytical support shall primarily be provided for all aspects of the business relating to the release of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). Analytical techniques include but are not limited to HPLC, GC, IC, UV, PSA, NMR, KF and IR analysis.

Working Pattern

We offer a range of opportunities across both day shifts and rotational shifts, allowing you to select the option that best suits your lifestyle. You will be able to indicate your preference within the application form.

  • Day Shifts: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working hours.
  • Rotational Shifts: 42 hours per week, working from 0745 to 2015 and 1945 to 0815. The rota follows a pattern of 4 days on (comprising 2 day shifts and 2 night shifts) followed by 4 days off.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree level qualification in an Analytical Chemistry related discipline. (Higher Level Qualification in relevant discipline, including significant industry experience, may be considered in lieu of Degree Qualification)
  • Laboratory experience

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous relevant experience in a GMP/GLP environment
