Responsibilities

  • Plant Engineer: Ensure the smooth operation and reliability of all plant equipment through preventative and reactive maintenance, technical inspections, and high-quality repairs. Act as a subject matter expert across plant systems, manage spare parts, and provide insight on asset health. Support installation and commissioning activities, coordinate and oversee third-party maintenance providers, manage permits to work, and ensure contractor activity complies with procedures and health and safety standards. Handle plant alarms, complete accurate maintenance documentation, coordinate insurance inspections, liaise with vendors, and provide out-of-hours engineering support when required.
  • Maintenance Engineer: Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems, support process improvements, and contribute to engineering and site projects to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full-time, permanent employment in the UK.

  • Plant Engineer: NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical engineering, or plumbing, heating and ventilation (or equivalent) along with post-apprenticeship experience in industrial maintenance (e.g., installation of equipment, planned and unplanned maintenance of plant and equipment such as AHU, Boilers, Chillers, Pumps, Heating Systems).
  • Maintenance Engineer: City & Guilds Level 3 in an Electrical-related discipline (or equivalent) with post-apprenticeship experience in a maintenance environment.

Desirable (not essential): HND/HNC (or equivalent) in an electrical-related discipline; previous maintenance experience within the food, chemical, or pharmaceutical industry; experience of electronic preventative maintenance scheduling tools; experience of SCADA; experience of calibration completion.

Additional Information

  • Maintenance Engineer: 40 hours per week with an 8 hour shift pattern Sunday PM to Friday PM. Days, Evenings, Nights rotated weekly. Week 1: 06:00 to 14:30; Week 2: 14:00 to 22:30; Week 3: 22:00 to 06:30. For training purposes you would start on day shift 08:00-16:30.
  • Plant Engineer: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday 08:00-16:30.
