The Opportunity
As a Senior Analyst (Raw Materials), you'll carry out, coordinate and monitor the testing and release of raw materials, working with a wide range of analytical techniques in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment. You'll have the opportunity to mentor colleagues, investigate and resolve technical challenges, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that ensure quality, efficiency, and Right First Time performance. About you
Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time, permanent employment in the UK.
Essential Criteria
- B.Sc. (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a Life Science subject with a significant chemistry component, or significant relevant experience working in a GMP laboratory in a chemistry role.
- Significant experience working in a GMP analytical laboratory.
- Significant experience of raw material, excipient, API, ancillary component or packaging material testing.
- Significant experience of completing testing in accordance with approved specifications and pharmacopeial monographs.
- Significant experience of reviewing and approving GMP analytical documentation.
- Working to defined timelines.
Desirable Criteria
- M.Sc./PhD (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a Life Science subject with a significant chemistry component.
- Significant experience working in a GMP contract laboratory environment.
- Specific experience of compendial raw material testing including, titrations, limit tests, colorimetric tests, UV/Vis, FTIR, gravimetric testing, chromatography, water content and the associated instruments and equipment.
- Demonstrated experience of supporting material release by review of CoAs, sampling documentation and external laboratory results.
- Demonstrated experience of working within a GMP Quality System supporting quality event management.
- Experience liaising with third-party contract laboratories.
- Experience coaching or supporting Analysts and Technicians.
