The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an Analytical Team Leader to join our Almac Sciences Business unit, based in our Craigavon headquarters in Northern Ireland. The post holder will be responsible for performing, monitoring and accepting accountability for all assigned analytical duties relating to the Quality Control operations within Almac Sciences GMP Manufacturing facilities. Quality and Analytical support shall primarily be provided for, but not limited to, all aspects of the business relating to the manufacture of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). Analytical techniques include but are not limited to HPLC, UPLC, GC, IC, UV, PSA, NMR, KF and IR analysis.

Essential Candidate Criteria

  • Degree level qualification in an Analytical/Chemistry related discipline (significant industry experience may be considered in lieu of Degree Qualification)
  • Previous experience in a GMP/GLP environment
  • Experience in performance management
  • Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory guidelines relevant to drug development

Desirable Candidate Criteria

  • Postgraduate level qualification (or equivalent) in a related discipline
  • Experience in method development and/or validation
  • Experience leading investigations and root cause analysis
