The Role
Almac Clinical Services is a global leader in clinical supply chain solutions, supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers throughout the development lifecycle. Our teams play a vital role in ensuring clinical trial supplies are safe, compliant and reliably delivered to patients worldwide. We currently have an opportunity to join our Temperature Services team in the role of Temperature Services Co-Ordinator - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of contracted temperature services across clinical studies, ensuring that clinical trial supplies are stored, transported and managed in line with stability requirements. You will manage day-to-day study activity, working closely with internal teams, clients and clinical sites, and acting as a key point of contact for all temperature-related matters. This is a highly collaborative, detail-driven role where accuracy, responsiveness and customer focus are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary internal and external point of contact for temperature services across assigned studies
- Support study set-up and lifecycle management, including participation in client kick-off meetings
- Set up customers and protocols within TempEZ, ensuring stability profiles accurately reflect IMP requirements
- Manage and prioritise multiple workstreams simultaneously, including time-critical temperature excursions
- Perform temperature excursion adjudications using stability data and accurate mathematical assessment
- Build and maintain lifecycle and excursion trackers, ensuring clear audit trails and accurate records
- Review site storage temperature logs and work directly with clinical sites to ensure compliance
- Manage critical alerts through AlertEZ, maintaining accurate escalation contacts throughout each study
- Communicate directly with customers, providing updates on study health and responding to temperature-related queries
- Work collaboratively as part of the global team to ensure smooth handovers and KPI delivery
- Maintain Content Suite documentation to a high standard
- Support additional projects and departmental KPIs as required
Quality & Compliance
- Perform all duties in line with GMP requirements and Almac SOPs
- Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to ensure Right First Time delivery
- Raise and support Quality Events where required
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in all GMP documentation and system updates
Key Requirements
Essential:
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent) or significant Almac Clinical Services experience (3+ years) within a customer-facing, project-based role
- Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Desirable:
- Degree in a Business or Life Science-related discipline
- Experience working in a clinical IP or temperature-controlled environment
- Understanding of supply chain principles
- Ability to analyse large datasets and make informed recommendations
