Almac Pharma Services Analytical Operations are looking for an experienced people-leader to head up multiple analytical teams in our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities at our Loughborough site. The post holder will provide technical and managerial leadership to multiple analytical teams, primarily the analytical requirements for drug product development, in process testing and batch release. The Analytical Group Leader will manage the progress of Analytical work, ensuring that project schedules are met. They will be responsible for ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, compliantly and accurately, providing regular updates to Analytical management.
What we are looking for:
- B.Sc. (or equivalent) in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry or a Life Science subject with a significant chemistry component.
- Significant experience of managing, leading and motivating multiple analytical teams within a GMP/GLP laboratory supporting the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical drug products.
- Clear in-depth knowledge of a wide range of analytical instrumentation, equipment and theory.
- Significant experience in the interpretation of data from a wide range of analytical techniques.
- A high level of experience using a QMS and progressing QMS documents.
- Experience of hosting aspects of laboratory quality audits and inspections by external bodies.
- Capable of acting as an SME during inspections.
