Working as part of the Analytical team, based in our global headquarters in Craigavon, the post holder will be responsible for performing, monitoring, and accepting accountabilities for all assigned analytical duties related to specific chemistry and analytical projects. The Analytical Chemist will carry out GMP and non-GMP activities related to specialist LC-MS and GC-MS analysis. They will carry out phase appropriate validation and sample analysis in support of development, manufacture, and release for both internal and external customers.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary project team the post holder will plan carefully, carry out their work safely, and document their methods and results accurately. Essential Criteria- Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Analytical / Chemistry, or closely related discipline.
- Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of academic qualification.
- Demonstrated hands on experience in one or more of the following MS techniques in an industrial or academic environment; LC-MSn, GC-MSn.
- Experience of structure elucidation and quantitative analysis using MS.
- Theoretical knowledge of multiple laboratory techniques.
- PhD level qualification (or equivalent) in Mass Spectrometry.
- Previous relevant industrial experience in a GMP/GLP environment.
- Experience of MS analysis of peptides and proteins as well as small molecules.
- Experience of method Validation.
