What we do
We are a diverse team of economists, social researchers, data scientists, developers and creatives working together on critical issues facing our society today. Our work spans multiple policy areas, including education, health and social care, housing and homelessness, the environment, public finance, and international development, among others.
Our clients include most UK government departments, the Welsh Government, the Scottish Government, councils across the country, arms‑length bodies, and several leading charities. Internationally, we work with major organisations including the World Bank, UNICEF, the WHO, the OECD, and the European Commission, as well as a number of national governments in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Who we want to work with
We are interested in meeting candidates with a positive mind‑set and can‑do attitude, who are confident in their organisational and multi‑tasking skills. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of our office.
Previous relevant experience would be an advantage as well as being confident and accountable in supporting our team and the office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Office supply
- Responsible of weekly office supplies orders.
- Manage office stock and inventory.
- Take initiative and make suggestions to improve smooth operation of the office.
- Identify best deals with suppliers to ensure cost‑effective purchases.
Office maintenance
- Maintain office to high standards at all times.
- Have same‑day‑repair attitude, liaise with and handle technicians from start to finish.
- Perform out of office errands.
- First point of contact for guests.
- Responsible for guiding and assisting visitors.
- Organising the information flow (telephone, e-mail, post, internal information).
Requirements
Essential skills
- Outstanding organisational and communication skills.
- Confidentiality and discretion.
- Able to liaise with all levels of seniority.
- Punctuality and attention to detail.
- Positive can‑do attitude, accountable and positive.
- Previous relevant work experience.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office Applications.
