The predicted salary is between 20000 - 30000 £ per year.

Are you an Electrical or Controls engineering student, recent graduate or apprentice who has practical hands-on experience with software, mechanical and electrical design? Do you love DIY, building and prototyping in your spare time? Ideally, you are part of your university’s Formula student team or have worked on projects related to automotive, motorsport or energy storage; you want to demonstrate your mechanical design skills; and want to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing London based start-up that is creating an all-new range of battery storage systems for both commercial and consumer markets. You will be responsible for the design, build and test of our energy storage systems, liaising with our designers and engineers on the architecture layout.

Qualifications

  • Must-haves
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering
  • Interest in computer science and software development, code in spare time
  • Experience working with electrical and mechanical components
  • Ability to work proactively with minimal support using a logical approach in an environment with minimal documented processes
  • Must be self-motivated and an effective team player
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Nice-to-haves
    • A basic understanding of High Voltage vehicle systems and safety
    • Experience in a Formula student team
    • Practical project experience involving soldering, fabrication, harnessing
    • Knowledge of micro-controllers and electrical system wiring
    • Knowledge of battery system technology including cell chemistries, BMS etc.
