A bit about the role
As a Senior Quality Analystin our Digital Test team, you'll help ensure the quality, reliability and readiness of digital products across a diverse technology landscape.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture and Delivery teams, you'll embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements through to delivery.
You'll lead testing activities, shape test strategies, drive continuous improvement, and champion a quality-first mindset.
This is an opportunity to support products and services that have generated over£45 billion for National Lottery Good Causes.
You'll work across a variety of projects, from standalone initiatives to large-scale programmes, becoming a trusted quality expert within the organisation.
- Whatyou’llbe doing
- Define and deliver risk-based testing strategies and exploratory testing.
- Review requirements, designs and solutions to identify quality risks early.
- Lead test planning, analysis, execution and reporting activities.
- Investigate defects and support root case analysis.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Delivery teams to improve quality outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to expand automation and improve testing efficiency.
- Provide testing estimates, risk assessments and progress updates.
- Mentor other Quality Analysts and contribute to testing best practices.
- What experiencewe’relooking for
Essential
- Demonstratableexperience in software testing at Senior QA/Test Analyst level.
- Strong experience with risk-based and exploratory testing.
- Experience creating test strategies, plans, cases and reports.
- Solid understanding of Agile delivery and software development lifecycles.
- Experience testing APIs, integrations and digital applications.
- Strong defect management, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with tools such as Postman and testing across web and mobile platforms.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and quality gates within modern software delivery
- Log analysis and troubleshooting
- Experience using API testing tools such as Postman and interpreting JSON, REST and/or Graph QLservices
Desirable
- Previousexperience querying databases and validating data integrity using SQL or Mongo DB, Redis or similar.
- Knowledgewith Jira, Test Rail, Browser Stack, Splunk or similar tools.
- Experience in high-volume transactional environments.
- Exposure to test automation, cloud-native/microservices architectures, and non-functional testing.
- Mentoring, leadership and cross-team testing coordination experience.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools to improve testing quality and efficiency.
- ISTQB Foundation Certification
