A bit about the role
As a Release Train Engineerin the Digital Foundryteam, you will work closely with the Product and Engineering teamsand willberesponsible foroverseeingthe Agile Release Trains, ensuring value delivery for large scale Agileprogrammes.
This role willdevelop andmaintainthe Agile Release Train schedules for iterations and Program Incrementsanddrive continuous improvement acrossmultipleteams.
With a focus onautomatedprocesses tostreamline the release processand ensurepredictability, reliability, and stability.
This rolewilloptimisevalue flow across the ART using Agile practicesacrossend-to end teamsand support the Digital Foundry to meetagiledelivery at scale.
- Whatyou’llbe doing
- As part of PI Planning align multiple, cross dependant teams, ontheoverallobjectiveshelping to synchronize teamobjectivesand efforts for a consistent andpredictabledelivery across the ART
- Monitor progress against PIobjectivesandprovidevisibilityinto ART performance and ensure alignment with business priorities
- Drive continuous improvement at a program leveland coach teams and stakeholders on agilepracticesto enhance quality, predictabilityand delivery speed
- Identify, assessand mitigate risks and dependencies, escalating issues asnecessaryto ensure programobjectivesare met withoutdisruption
- Ensure priorities, objectivesand deliverables are clearly understood and communicated across teams
- Analyse performance encouraging feedback loops and data driven decision making tooptimiseflow and deliveryefficiency
- Strong ability to leadand influencecross-team alignmentwith internal and external teams
- Clear communication across technical teams andnon-technicalstakeholders, including Director and Executive level
- Work with internalteamsand external vendors to improveautomationofthe SDLC, deploymentsand integrationof software releases
- Supportthe release managementprocess, ensuringsoftware is releasedusing consistentand repeatabledeployment methodologies
- Releaseplanning andcoordinationacross theprogram, ensuringreleasereadiness, workingalongside Engineers, Test, Environment Managers and Release Managers
- What experiencewe’relooking for
Agile and SAFeexpertise: Adeep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean principles, and Agile metrics
- Leadership & Facilitation: Strong ability to lead cross-team alignment without direct authority, and conduct effective large-scale Agile events
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Clear communication across technical teams and Executives, managing expectations and transparency
- Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability toidentifyimpediments, improve flows, and guide teams in achieving objectives
- Coaching & Mentoring: Develop capabilities among Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams to foster a continuous improvement culture
- Experience of orchestrating large-scale Agile programs by coordinating multiple Agile teams to deliver software and solutions efficientlyto market
- Proventrack recordas a Scrum Master (3-5 Years) and as an RTE of at least 2 years working on large solution portfolio which encompasses internal & development as well as handling software platforms from other suppliers
- Desirable Professional
Certification: SAFe Release Train Engineer Certificationorsimilaradvanced Scrum Master Certification.
