We are Allwyn UK, part of the Allwyn Entertainment Group – a multi-national lottery operator with a market-leading presence across Europe. While the main contribution of The National Lottery to society is through the funds to good causes, at Allwyn we put our purpose and values at the heart of everything we do.

A bit about the role… Reporting to the Head of Colleague Communications, the Senior Internal Communications Manager works as an integral part of the colleague communications team, developing and delivering internal communications programmes and plans that support Allwyn's vision: to change lives every day – and our mission: to grow the National Lottery responsibly and champion its impact. You will play a key role in engaging with colleagues to drive delivery of our Annual Business Plans, including its commercial targets, and to create a culture that’s aligned to our values, making Allwyn a great place to work.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Drive colleague behaviour and engagement to support delivery of the transformation of The National Lottery, in line with Allwyn's strategy, mission, vision, values and Annual Business Plans.
  • Build trust between Allwyn's leadership team, managers and colleagues using best practice, two-way communications.
  • Lead on development and delivery of colleague communications programmes, campaigns and plans, aligned to the annual colleague communications strategy.
  • Lead on content creation and communication for business-wide events, including town halls, All Ins, celebrations and annual parties.
  • Create and manage compelling best-practice content across all internal communications channels.
  • In partnership with the Colleague Experience & Engagement Lead, deliver communications activity relating to cultural and engagement activities.
  • Collate measurement of the team’s colleague communications activity, ensuring that the team uses data and insights to implement continuous communications improvement.
  • Manage the editorial and sign-off process for all colleague communications content and manage the content calendar.
  • Build strong relationships with key functions including People and Places, Strategy and Transformation, Retail and Digital.
  • Create a community of 'empfluencers' across Allwyn UK and drive their engagement with external social media channels.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the Communications and Events team to support a joined-up approach to content and communications.
  • Work in close partnership with the Business Continuity team when the BC process is activated.
  • Stay ahead of new developments and implement best practice in internal communications.
  • Deputise for the Head of Colleague Communications in their absence.

What experience we’re looking for…

  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience in dealing with ambiguity, conflicting agendas and changing priorities.
  • Experience in embracing, leading and driving change across a complex environment.
  • Ability to provide and receive complex, sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated excellence in developing and agreeing communications programmes, campaigns, plans and events.
  • Experience of excellence in content creation and delivery across a range of internal communications channels.
  • Ability to work effectively as a senior member of a communications and events team.
  • Implementation of emerging best-practice to improve colleague communications.
  • Willing to work on site, three days per week.
