Reporting to the Head of Colleague Communications, the Internal Communications Executive works as part of the internal communications team to develop and deliver programmes and plans that support Allwyn, as the operator, to transform the National Lottery. You will play an important role in helping to create the culture, alignment and colleague engagement that will be required to deliver our ambitious plans for the Fourth Licence, particularly through effective change communications delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working closely with Allwyn’s Change Communications Managers, deliver Transformation‑related communications for functions as part of our change journey.
- Delivering reactive and ad hoc communications for BAU and Transformation communications.
- Supporting colleague engagement and alignment with our culture, values and strategy through:
- Developing and delivering internal communications strategies, plans and programmes.
- Story‑telling and the creation of compelling content across all internal communications channels, including video, audio, copy and design.
- Supporting the delivery of our Social Value strategy by helping to embed it across the organisation through our internal communications activities.
- Working with colleagues across Corporate Affairs and within our external agencies to shape engagement content for our external channels (notably website and social media) that supports our employer brand.
- Working closely with colleagues across Corporate Affairs (in the UK and at Group) to ensure a joined‑up approach to content and communications, including managing the most effective sequencing and ensuring consistent and relevant messaging.
- Working closely with colleagues in other functions to support the delivery of functional strategies, most particularly with the People team to ensure the successful delivery of our People Vision, including supporting effective scheduling of campaigns and other communications activities.
- Ensuring that the internal communications plan and its delivery reinforces and promotes Allwyn’s vision, mission, values, brand and reputation.
- Creating communications assets and collateral that will be engaging and effective, including film, animation, PowerPoint, or Word documents.
What experience we’re looking for:
- A track‑record in developing and delivering internal communications plans and content that engage colleagues and support the delivery of organisational objectives.
- Experience of content creation and delivery across a range of internal communications programmes and channels, and in deploying across a range of tools and techniques that will enable internal communications cut‑through.
- Experience in gathering feedback on communications activities, and using data and other forms of insight and feedback to inform future communications plans and executions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as to deliver work independently when required, with an interest in emerging best practice.
- Strong listening skills, and the ability to influence others.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Must be willing to work in Watford two days per week, with regular travel to London, if able to do so.
