Role Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced and commercially-focused senior business partner to lead a team of business partners working with multiple stakeholders to provide finance and decision support to multiple functional cost bases around the business. In additional you will have oversight of capital spend and business initiatives as Allwyn look to grow money to good causes.
Role Responsibilities:
- Delivering budgets, forecasts, actuals reporting, financial analysis and decision support for functional cost bases across Allwyn UK – understanding cost bases in detail while also seeing the bigger picture. Challenging assumptions, validating Capex/Opex splits, tracking and managing R&O and driving the business to budget/forecast adherence
- Managing a team of business partners who are aligned to different functions around Allwyn UK, motivating and challenging them to deliver continuous improvement
- Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, including the Operations Director, to deliver finance support and act as a point of contact/escalation for members of the Senior Allwyn Leadership Team/Exec
- Be a sounding board to senior stakeholders, using business acumen and commercial awareness to both counsel and constructively challenge to drive the best outcomes
- Work collaboratively across Finance, including into other Commercial Finance teams and Financial Accounting so that the right teams are appropriately consulted or informed about topics for review or where decisions are required
- Working closely with the FP&A/modelling team, particularly with regards to monthly and ad-hoc reporting and forecasts, ensuring quality of commentary and output
- Provide financial support and guidance for queries of an ad-hoc nature
Key Skills and Experience:
- Qualified accountant
- Team management experience
- Advanced Excel Modelling and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to apply this to decision making and recommendations
- Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally with both finance and non-finance colleagues
- Ability to work independently, create own priorities and manage upwards accordingly
- Presentation skills and experience influencing business stakeholders
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Displays excellent attention to detail
- Use of Enterprise Financial Systems such as forecasting and data visualisation tools. SAP/SAC/BPC a plus.
