A bit about the role: Hands-on delivery leadership of digital initiatives across strategic, functional and feature changes across our Web and App platforms, including interfaces with back-end systems. As an Agile Delivery Lead you will work across one or more of our digital roadmap value streams. You will lead the delivery team, delivering using the right digital frameworks and ways of working. You will own hands-on delivery for each Initiative assigned to the Squad, taking responsibility for end-to-end delivery from idea through to operate and success metrics. You will be able to operate as a Servant Leader, Agile Coach, Scrum Master or Project Manager depending on the needs of the team and the specific Delivery challenge at the point in time. You will contribute to the improvement of Delivery methodology within the Digital Foundry and key development partners, taking an active interest in developing Delivery tools and standards.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Mindset: You are “Delivery obsessed” constantly looking for new ways to innovate and deliver maximum value. • Continuous Improvement: You will use delivery data to understand how the team are performing, identify improvements in ways of working, eliminate waste and reduce cycle time. You’ll use delivery data to create delivery specific feedback loops across initiatives to drive more consistent and predictable delivery. You’ll use a safe team culture to build effective feedback loops across both team deliverables as well as owning the delivery outcomes. You’ll encourage experimentation and create an environment where innovation can happen. You’ll hold the team to account on their retro commitments.
  • Delivery Toolset: Confident managing initiatives from Idea, through Discovery to Inception – working from uncertainty to bring focus, using Delivery expertise to create increasing clarity in terms of Size and Complexity. Able to coach teams to breakdown, slice and structure work into the smallest increments, advising and coaching to create the most appropriate increments of value. Uses demand and capacity planning to create initiative forecasts as part of program increment planning. Confident at facilitating engaging and inclusive ceremonies. You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in written form creating concise and focused delivery reports. Managing stakeholders building great relationships internally and externally.
  • Behaviors: You will look to own and resolve problems before they arise, actively bringing people together to collaborate and resolving conflict to achieve consensus. You will work from a position of high trust and respect both from a team level and a Digital Foundry Leadership level, recognised for building, motivating and maintaining high performing teams, but also managing expectations. You will work with other ADLs to promote and adopt Delivery consistency. You will use your skills to motivate and inspire others to want to take part in improving Delivery across the Digital Foundry.

What experience we’re looking for:

  • Key Measures of Success: Team utilization – Resource allocation and cost control (internal and delivery partner), Plan and business case adherence - Delivery to Plan and Investment Case, Velocity – Delivery throughput, deployment frequency, cycle time, Software Quality – Change failure rate, code review cycles and intervention Mean time to repair (MTTR), Customer satisfaction and stakeholder feedback inclusion, People Health – Work distribution and engagement scores.

Must have the ability to deliver software solutions to time and quality and have the track record of doing so using multiple delivery partners. You thrive on responsibility and completing tasks in a timely manner with good, clear communication. You are equally comfortable working independently, and in a team to deliver excellence, working across boundaries within the Digital Foundry.
