Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to work on an innovative solution that has a substantial impact on our notable client base! Allvue Systems is seeking a specialized Senior Product Manager to lead the evolution of the Consolidated Back Office (CBO) offering. The CBO connects Allvue’s investment accounting and fund accounting platforms and is used by some of the largest private investors in the world. This role is fundamental to our mission of enhancing fund operations, centralizing workflows, and increasing the accuracy of back-office functions for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience with fund accounting, with a working knowledge of investment accounting. They are also expected to have a strong technical foundation in API-first design. We are seeking a candidate who has experience building from 0-1 as well as enhancing existing capabilities.

In this role, a successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including other product managers, engineering, design, professional services, and client success, to define and deliver a product that meets both internal and external needs. They will also work closely with product owners to ensure the accuracy and completeness of user story creation and that complex requirements are translated into deliverables. A successful candidate will have a strong track record of cross-team collaboration and communication illustrated through the launch of successful products.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the product vision and roadmap with the goal of creating a single source of truth for fund and investment data.
  • Liaise with existing clients and market-facing internal teams to understand the existing landscape and plan for an improved future state.
  • Own the Consolidated Back Office offering while also collaborating with and influencing product managers for investment accounting and fund accounting.
  • Work with other members of middle- and back-office product teams to prioritize features across product verticals to enhance the overall Allvue offering.
  • Translate the complexities of fund operations into simplified and automated workflows.
  • Assess and analyze competitive products to understand where our products add value and are differentiated.
  • Appraise new ideas for market viability.
  • Prioritize milestones and tasks with product owners and engineering team(s).
  • Track KPIs for product success.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in fund accounting, with a working knowledge of investment accounting.
  • Clear understanding of the public/private credit and/or PE/VC/RE markets, specifically in middle- and back-office processes.
  • Strong technical foundation with API-first product design.
  • Understanding of automation and data centralization.
  • Experience with integration-heavy products or middleware solutions.
  • Exceptional listening skills, attention to detail, and clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to distill and translate advanced financial and technical topics into easily communicable business concepts for execution by our Engineering team.
  • A self-starter personality is a must; comfort with ambiguity and ability to add value and drive product development in rapidly changing environments.
  • Fluency in financial jargon and ability to communicate effectively with Private Equity and/or Private Credit business users.

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in finance or financial technology with a preference in investment management or fund administration software.
