Job Summary
Supporting new client acquisition and the development of existing key accounts through the correct positioning of Allvue solutions in the sales cycle, focusing on the key criteria of the prospect/client.
Responsibilities
- Manage and provide comprehensive consulting and support to Sales and Account Management teams, advising on best practices and technology throughout all phases of the sales cycle to ensure optimal solution selection.
- Establish credibility with the client, analysis of the client’s needs and position Allvue Solutions appropriately to ease the sales process and optimize efficiency.
- Manage discovery calls with prospects and clients, focusing on detailed use cases and pain points.
- Organize and lead solution demos and workshops to assure the competitive advantages of the Allvue solutions are understood by the prospect.
- Collaborate with sales representatives throughout the lifecycle of the sales campaign, including exploratory meetings, demonstrations, workshops, and gap analysis to ensure consistency of messages.
- Independently deliver deep-dive functional workshops and Proof of Concepts using Allvue’ s solution sets (Fund Accounting, Front Office Credit, Investment Accounting, Nexius Data Platform)
- Oversee & contribute to the loading of client sample data and build hypothetical scenarios for proof-of-concept workshops.
- Oversee and contribute to the team’s preparation of RFI/RFPs to assure that Allvue is presented according to the key criteria of the prospect/client.
- Keep current on solutions and features as they are released within the product(s) and/or service(s)
- Become familiar with competitor offerings, identify key differentiators, and share competitive intelligence across the sales organization.
- Provide market feedback to Product management and Marketing regarding product functionality and market/customer demands.
- Liaise with Product Managers and Development to understand the product roadmap and communicate with the sales organization.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of sales collateral, presentation, and sales methodologies.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales, investment operations, or client solutions role within the Private Equity, Private Credit, CLO and/or Alts Fund Admin spaces.
- Ability to speak of our main competitors’ strengths and weaknesses.
- Relevant experience in an enterprise software solution engineering role.
- Experience supporting sales functions in securing new and upselling revenues across a business-led and consultative software sales process.
- Subject Matter Expert style, focusing on value selling
- Well versed in Windows and Internet technologies.
- Skilled with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Core Experience & Domain Knowledge
- Deep understanding of Private Markets, particularly Private Credit (e.g., direct lending, structured credit, distressed debt) and Private Equity (e.g., buyout, growth equity, secondaries).
- Proven ability to translate complex private capital investment workflows into technical requirements and functional solutions.
Leadership & Management
- Experienced in leading and developing solutions engineering teams; strong cross-functional collaborator with Product, Sales, Engineering and Client Success.
- Comfortable driving go-to-market strategy, including enablement, positioning, and pricing discussions with commercial teams.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of the investment lifecycle workflows, data models, and reporting structures used in private markets.
- Ability to map client requirements to software capabilities, identifying gaps and providing feedback to Product and Engineering.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture, system integrations, and APIs relevant to investment management platforms.
Client Engagement
- Effective communicator with senior stakeholders (GPs, LPs, fund administrators); experienced in discovery sessions, demos, and solution workshops.
- Trusted advisor mindset with a focus on delivering value-based solutions to clients.
Location & Travel
- London-based with global team experience and EMEA travel flexibility (10-20%)
Education/Certifications
- University degree in related field
- Relevant certifications or continuing education in private markets, enterprise software, or solutions consulting is advantageous.
