About Us

Allume Energy is revolutionising solar access for flats. We’ve developed a world-first technology that allows a single rooftop solar system to be shared across multiple apartments in the same building. Our mission is to make clean energy accessible to everyone.

Role Overview

Allume Energy UK is looking for a strategic and well‑connected Contract/Freelance PR Manager to spearhead our UK communications efforts. You will be responsible for elevating the Allume brand across national, trade, and regional media, ensuring the SolShare technology is the first thought for property developers, social housing providers, installers and policymakers. You will work as a partner to our Founder and General Manager, acting as the bridge between our innovative technology and the public eye.

Key Responsibilities

  • Media Relations & Strategy: Develop and execute a proactive PR strategy to increase brand awareness in the UK market.
  • Media Outreach: Leverage your existing network to secure high‑quality coverage in national broadsheets, tech journals, and trade publications (social housing, renewable energy, property development).
  • Storytelling & Content: Translate complex technical data and ESG metrics into compelling narratives.
  • Thought Leadership: Identify and secure "top‑tier" opportunities, such as industry panels, government roundtables, podcasts and major climate awards.
  • Executive Partnership: Work directly with the Founder and General Manager to elevate their public profile.
  • LinkedIn Strategy & Management: Own the UK‑focused organic social strategy on LinkedIn.
  • Crisis & Reputation: Provide strategic counsel on industry‑related news, policy changes, and market trends.

Must‑Have Requirements

  • UK‑Based and ideally London: Essential for physical attendance at key London/UK events and a deep understanding of the local regulatory environment.
  • Established Network: A proven track record of existing relationships with UK journalists in the Sustainability, Energy, and Property sectors.
  • Climate Tech & Sustainability Fluency: Experience in the sector. You must be able to navigate conversations regarding Net Zero, EPC ratings, and the social impact of the energy transition.
  • Leadership Advisory Experience: Proven experience acting as a communications advisor for C‑suite executives and founders.
  • Social Media Savvy: Expert‑level knowledge of LinkedIn for B2B, specifically in building "Founder Brands" and driving professional engagement.
  • Self‑Starter: Experience working as a freelancer or contractor, with the ability to manage your own workflow and deliver results without intensive oversight.
